Close your eyes and think of a place. . .

Okay, so how was it? Probably put yourself on a white sandy beach or on top of the Empire State Building on one knee proposing to the love of your life?

Maybe the beach though.

Now that your eyes are open, you don't have to imagine the perfect place. It's here, we found it for you in Downtown Roseville. "The Place" is all about Real family, Real food and always fun.

They offer Fine Handmade Italian Cuisine, Wood Fired Pizzas, Top Notch Cocktails, Live Jazz Music and an unprecedented atmosphere that will make you feel right at home.

Service is impeccable and our host, manager and mixologist - Mr. Oscar Vazquez was simply amazing. So informative, we learned the drinks, the whys and hows but in a non-teaching or condescending way. Getting little bits of trivia dropped on us as he was creating a masterpiece of a drink right in front of our eyes. Make sure you scroll all the way down to see the video (The making of the Sazerac and a Bloody Mobster).

Mikey McDermott (Chef/Owner) has fond memories of summer afternoons spent helping "gram" his grandmother prepare Sunday gravy. Saturdays walking down to the corner deli with his dad for a grinder and even though he knew everything on the menu was homemade and delicious, He always had to get the meatball. The aromas that hit you once you step inside are like no other and it is very apparent that you are experiencing true authentic Italian.

Everything on the menu is a hit and we are looking forward to our next trip to "The Place" to further explore the cuisine. By the way I had the Margherita – house fior di latte mozzarella, tomato, basil, sicilian sea salt.

Too bad they don't deliver, I mean I am only an hour and a half away.
