2015 has come and gone and we are looking ahead to 2016 but before we get totally engulfed with the new year let's reflect a little.

Tequila, what a great year for people who genuinely appreciate Tequila. Like myself. So let's reflect.

So many great Tequilas out there and it was very hard to put together a small list of the ones that really grabbed our attention in 2015 but we had to do it. Before I do I would like to say that these brands aren't the only ones we endorse as ML Approved, there are many others that are not on this list. Check out our reviews, we only review what we like and that kind of endorsement can never be bought.

David Suro's Elisa Extra Anejo, is a delicious and truly special tequila. Named for his daughter, this single barrel/barrel proof limited edition tequila is Big AND Bold, but easy to drink. It is UNBELIEVABLY DELICIOUS. This is aged so long (5+years) that as usual, you lose some agave and it picks up the oak barrels. There is a nice mixture here with the agave and the oak. It shows cognac aromas, but in taste, I get sweet whiskey. In this case my 43.2% abv XA is aged in medium char american oak barrels, and for the extra alcohol and length of aging, it is so smooth and pleasant to drink.
- Long Island Lou Agave

2015 ML Best of the Best Favorite Trio: Mi Casa Tequila

Mi Casa Tequila is a single estate spirit from the highlands of Michoacan Mexico.

Each plant is hand selected for harvest after maturing naturally for up to ten years. Small hand-selected batches ensure the delicate harmony of the land is maintained at all times.

At the distillery the agave is baked for sixteen hours in stainless steel autoclave ovens. This produces an even baking of the plant and a uniform sugar content throughout the entire batch. Double distilled and aged in charred White Oak bourbon barrels, we assure you only the finest agave is mirrored in our product.

Mi Casa, an artisanal tequila that is both aromatic and exquisite.
