Anthony Dones founded Darkroom Pictures in 2006 in Miami. A graduate of the “Community Film Workshop” in Chicago, he went on to write his own creative destiny by producing over 120 music videos, hundreds of various corporate and commercial projects and feature film work. He continues to push his craft by studying filmmakers such as Jordan Cronenweth, Dariusz Wolski, Freddie Francis, Christopher Doyle, Stanley Kubrick and others.

Anthony’s reputation as a cinematographer earned him the opportunity to lens two large independent feature films that went on to sign with distribution deals. [Feature Film Credits: Hazmat, directed by Lou Simon, Not For Human Consumption, directed by Chris Alonso]. He has also worked with well-known actors such as Michael Rispoli [The Sopranos, Son of Sam, Rum Diaries] and Nick Thurston [Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Not For Human Consumption].

Despite their busy production schedule, Darkroom Pictures invests in its local community through mentorship programs, training and volunteer work. They are a proud sponsor of Girl Scout Troop 171 and have worked with local high school film clubs providing education and use of their video equipment free of charge. Future plans are to create a mentorship program for Latino men and women that are looking to get into film production.

"On a personal note, 8GHz really is a pleasure for me, I enjoyed your film immensely and I can't wait to see it shown on the big screen during Hyperdrive." - Tim
